Possehl Digital GmbH, a subsidiary of the Lübeck-based management holding company L. Possehl & Co. mbH, acquires a 45 % stake in cluetec GmbH. There are put and call options for increasing the shareholding. The contracting parties agreed on this last week. Possehl Digital GmbH was thus able to successfully implement its long-term growth strategy in the first full business year following its foundation.
cluetec, the digitalisation expert from Karlsruhe, has been very successfully positioned on the market with its own software products and services for more than 20 years. Digital transformation, professional portals and mobile apps form the core of the company’s development activities. With the cluetec cloud solutions mQuest® and mQuest® Audit, all types of audits, checklists and quality inspections are digitised cost-efficiently and securely – in line with the cluetec motto: “No Paper – No Excel, 100 % Digital”.
The entry of Possehl Digital opens up far-reaching development opportunities for cluetec. “We have continuously expanded our service portfolio and our customer base in recent years. Possehl opens up further versatile and promising opportunities for our company, particularly in the German mechanical engineering sector and also internationally”, says co-partner and one of the co-founders Karl G. Linder.
Possehl Digital was founded at the beginning of 2021 as the tenth and thus youngest operationally independent division within the Possehl Group. In addition to the lead company Possehl Digital GmbH, the company portfolio includes Possehl Online Solutions GmbH and Possehl Analytics GmbH. “In founding our Digital division and building up our digitalisation expertise in the Group holding company, we have consciously taken into account our strengths, namely our decades of experience in the German SME sector, particularly in mechanical and plant engineering, and their needs and requirements“, explains Dr Joachim Brenk, Chairman of the Executive Board at Possehl and also responsible for the digital development of the Possehl Group.
